Hotel Italia e Lido

I just loved this hotel! And believe me it’s far above 3 stars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak English very well and when I asked for a net to cover the balcony as came with a cat - they had it done the next morning. They clean rooms every day. Big enough room for one person with an amazing view and bathroom. And!! Air conditioning which worked perfectly. Thanks! The location is the best - next to the restaurants and Bagni (beaches). I do recommend!

Good hotel at the seaside in Rapallo, with an amazing view on the Castle and the coastal promenade. The hotel has a little private beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are super clean, however, the bathtub could have been a little bit larger. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and a quite unique wine bar with amazing local and regional wines. In summary, this is a very good hotel for the price. Highly recommended!

Where do I start, we had a problem with our room, but although it was late at night we were moved to another room. The reception staff were excellent and very accommodating. The location outstanding. The breakfast very poor standard compared to many other hotels in Italy. One female waitress in the breakfast room very rude and the other staff were in fear of her as she constantly went round clearing tables and banging the glasses inside each other as she did. The hotel must have many breakages that's all I can say.

Just come back from a three night stay at this great hotel. There was a large group of women all staying at the hotel to celebrate a big birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. I had a sea view room which was modern and clean. The bed was super comfy and bed linen looked new. The bathroom was modern and clean and although the shower was on the small side it had a rain shower head and hand held shower and the pressure was good. The hotel offers some rooms with showers and some with baths. As I have an issue with my back I emailed the hotel before hand to specifically request a room with a shower and they responded immediately, reassuring me that I would have. The continental breakfast offered a wide range of pastries, breads, some cheeses, cold meats and there was an option for scrambled egg too. They also offered two kinds of fresh juices and there was a coffee machine. They could probably do with another machine to accommodate large numbers of people at any one time in the dining room but that’s being picky!!! It was certainly a great breakfast option to set you up for a day of exploring the stunning coastline. Rapallo has lots to offer from a wide range of restaurants, bars & shops to a cable car ride which gives you a breathtaking view of the area and the hotel is perfectly located for all of this. The water taxi is only a short walk away and a 6 euro return trip to Santa Margherita and 10 euro return trip to Portofino. I would suggest prebooking your restaurant especially if you are a large group of people and also in Portofino, as it is only small and can be busy in the day with the cruise ship visitors. The public beach at Rapallo was small and quite stony so worth taking some beach shoes to protect your feet. Be prepared to have to pay to use some beach areas if you want a sunbed and parasol. The hotel itself has a small private ledge with a ladder to access the sea. The cost was 15 euros for the day but the beds were modern and comfy with a sun visor attached to the bed, parasols available and the towels were clean. There’s also a lifeguard on duty. In short, a really great hotel in fab, flat location, easily accessible and I’d thoroughly recommend.
